SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Common Council's 2nd District welcomed a new candidate on Monday.
Amanda Govaert Konrath announced her candidacy for South Bend Common Council representing the 2nd District.
Govaert Konrath lives in South Bend and said that the most important role will be as an advocate for citizens in the area.
She also believes that the Common Council is a vital link between the people and their local government.
Elections will take place on Tues. May 7, 2019.
