AMBER Alert canceled after 11-month-old girl found safe

An AMBER Alert is canceled after an 11-month-old Detroit girl is found safe.

Police have not said where they found Savannah Rayford.

The alert was issued Tuesday night.

WXYZ in Detroit reports the alert was issued after the girl's biological mother, Markita Dupree, took her as the child's foster mother was driving the two of them to a doctor's appointment.

Dupree asked to be dropped off around 3:00 p.m.

Officials say Dupree leaned in to kiss the little girl, and that's when she grabbed her and ran away.
