Amber Alert canceled for woman and infant abducted from Hammond

UPDATE: The Amber Alert has been canceled as of 3:45 p.m. We are awaiting further details.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Hammond Police Department is investigating the abduction of a woman and her child. They were last seen Sunday evening and are believed to be in extreme danger.

Police said Yolanda Walker, 20, and her infant, Raphael Bevineau, were last seen on Sunday around 7 p.m. CDT in Hammond.

Police believe Yolanda and Raphael were abducted by the infant's non-custodial father, Ralph Bevineau.

He may be driving a gold Chevy Trailblazer or similar SUV. The plate number is not known.

Yolanda was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and Grinch pajama pants. She has a birthmark under her eye.

Raphael is 2 months old, 1'8" tall, with brown hair, green eyes and a dimple in his chin. His clothing is unknown.
