MONTEBELLO, Calif. - After a standoff, 43-year-old Daniel Perez, who was wanted for allegedly abducting his four sons, was apprehended.
Perez's wife and the boys' mother Erica was found dead Wednesday in the trunk of their family car.
Police tried to pull Perez over, and when they succeeded, Perez held his children hostage inside the vehicle.
Perez eventually got out of his car to jump over a highway bridge, but officers shot a non-lethal bean bag at him, then tackled him to the ground.
Officers had been searching for Perez when his wife and children went missing on Friday.
