America’s Freedom Fest postponed until further notice this year

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The annual air and fireworks show taking place at Goshen Municipal Airport will be pushed back until further notice this year due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

America’s Freedom Fest was slated to take place on July 10 this year. This event is attended by thousands of Goshen residents.

This decision to postpone was unanimous with the airport’s board of directors, according to Randy Sharkey, Goshen Airport Manager.

Sharkey estimated that in 2019, the show gathered a crowd between 22,000-24,000 people. However, this does not include residents near the airport who host get-togethers to watch the show from outside.

According to airshowstuff.com, America’s Freedom Fest in Goshen is one of only two air shows scheduled to take place in Indiana in 2021. The only other airshow takes place at the Madison Municipal Airport in Madison, Ind. on Sept. 25.
