American Pancake house prepares for Black Friday

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The year's busiest shopping day is just a week away!

Many area businesses are adjusting their hours and hiring extra staff to accommodate the crowds.

The American Pancake House off of Grape Road is no exception.

Last year was the first year it opened early to gain a little business from the shopping crowds.

This year, they are planning to do it all over again!

On Black Friday, the store will be open from 3 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The owner says she just wants her business to be a part of the Black Friday experience.

"Some, they go shopping and then they eat, because I think some of the stores open around midnight, so by 3 o'clock, there's a lot of them out there that want to eat!" said Zoi Kladis.

She says this is the busiest day of the year for her, so all of their extra effort is worth it!
