ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - Applications are now open to participate in the free 2023 Criminal Justice Citizens Academy, which meets for eight weeks beginning September 21.

The citizens academy gives community members a hands-on look at the Elkhart County Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and other related criminal justice agencies.

The goal of the academy is to give participants a better idea of how the criminal justice system operates in Elkhart County.

The deadline to apply is September 1.

Space is limited and certain requirements must be met.
