Applications open for scholarships through LaGrange County Sheriff's Office

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. - Applications are now open for LaGrange County Sheriff's Office scholarships for high school seniors and college students studying criminal justice.

Approximately 40 scholarships of $750 each will be awarded to qualifying students around the state.

Funding for the scholarships come from the Indiana Sheriff's Association Scholarship Fund.

To qualify, an applicant must adhere to the following:

  • Be an Indiana resident
  • Be a current member of the sheriff's association or a dependent of a current member
  • Attend an Indiana college or university
  • Major in a law enforcement field
  • Enroll as a full-time student

Scholarship applications are located at the sheriff's office or from high school counselors.

Applications must be completed and received by the sheriff's association by April 1.
