Approaching record highs Thursday

SOUTH BEND, IN - The normal high for the beginning of May in Michiana is in the upper 60s.  However, summer-like heat shifts into the region Thursday with highs topping out in the mid to upper 80s.

For South Bend, the record high for May 7th, according to the National Weather Service's Climate page is 87° set back in 1926.  The forecasted high for tomorrow is 85°, which would place 2015 in the top 3 for record warmth.  Check out Fig. 1 for the complete list of top 3 record highs for May 7th and be sure to stop by the ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather page for the complete forecast.
