Local candidates who are running for Portage Township Board were invited to make a statement at a public forum hosted by the American Democracy Project and the League of Women Voters.
We have a statement from Democrat Ryan Hill.
Forum organizers extended the invitation to Democrats Cheryl Ashe and Muhammad Shabazz but they did not participate. There are no Republicans in the race.
Indiana’s primary election is May 3.
