Area ports, beaches making a comeback

Summer hasn't officially started yet, but people are already making their way out to Silver Beach in St. Joe, Michigan.

This year marks the first in three years that some businesses in the area, are actually growing.

Scooter Joe's, a bicycle renting stand, has been so busy that they've expanded their hours of operation to meet new demand.

Marinas in the area say they've seen an increase in consumer demand as well.

They say the hot and humid weather has also played a key role in bringing more people out to the beachfront.
