CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- An armed juvenile is now in custody after aiming a gun at officers.

The report came in at 2 p.m. for a masked and armed prowler around Cass County’s Jefferson Township.

The report came from a resident of the area who stated the suspect was trying to break into a home.

Once officers arrived on scene, they were confronted by the suspect, a juvenile.

The suspect raised a gun and pointed it at officers.

A deputy shot at the suspect, who would then flee from officers dropping the gun.

Deputies would then tase the juvenile and transport him to a juvenile facility.

No one was hurt and there is no danger to the public
