Armed robbery reported at Mishawaka gas station Friday morning
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Mishawaka Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a gas station in the 1300 block of East 12th Street on Friday morning.
At 2:01 a.m., officers responded to the scene for reports of an armed robbery in progress.
When officers arrived, they met with an employee, who said she was robbed at gunpoint by two black males wearing dark clothing, according to reports.
The suspect had left the scene before police arrived.
The employee was not injured in the robbery.
A witness who was in the area at the time noticed what was going on and started following the suspects as they were driving away.
The witness stopped following at some point because the witness believed the suspects shot a round off, reports said.
It is unknown if it was towards the witness or just up in the air.
The witness didn’t report any injuries.
According to the witness, the vehicle is a dark-colored, sedan.
Since September 2021, there have been four armed robberies to 7-Eleven’s in Mishawaka:
- September 12 at 12:24 a.m. – 112 East Catalpa
- October 4 at 3:33 a.m. – 112 East Catalpa
- October 10 at 5:12 a.m. – 1329 East 12th Street
- October 22 at 2:01 a.m. – 1329 East 12th Street
