Arrest made in stabbing at bar Saturday night

A man was arrested on assault charges after allegedly stabbing another man at a bar in the 100 block of Beeson Street, according to Dowagiac Police.
On Saturday evening, Dowagiac Police were called to the bar in the 100 block of Beeson Street to investigate a disturbance at the bar.
When they arrived, they found a witness yelling someone had been assaulted with a knife.
They located a man who had been stabbed multiple times and a razor knife.
The man was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was located attempting to leave the area. He was identified as 28-year-old Donte Lofton.
Lofton was arrested on felony assault charges.
