Art Beat returns to Downtown South Bend this Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Art Beat returns to Downtown South Bend this Saturday with over 500 visual, performing, and culinary artists in attendance.

Art Beat returns as a free, in-person event this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Jefferson and East Bank area and into Howard Park.

Families can enjoy browsing booths by artists of various mediums, including photographers, jewelers, Jazz musicians, local chefs, and more.

Amateur and professional artists alike can also participate in the 2021 Community Art Project and paint rocks to be placed in rock gardens around downtown.

Downtown South Bend is working with the St. Joseph County Department of Health to determine appropriate COVID-19 safety measures. Because of significant community-wide transmission, Art Beat attendees are encouraged to follow current CDC recommendations in regards to mask wearing, physical distancing, and hand hygiene.

This year, booths will be spaced out to allow for more physical distancing, hand washing and sanitizing stations will be located throughout the event area, and complimentary masks can be found at info booths.
