'Art from the Start', Michigan City Area Schools showcase student artwork
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - Michigan City Area Schools and Lubeznik Center for the Arts will have an opening reception for a student art exhibit, "Art from the Start", on Wednesday, April 17.
The display of art and fine crafts includes 2D and 3D pieces by kindergarten through sixth grade students.
The exhibit features pieces of art created using mediums including paint, clay, chalk pastels, and paper, all of which were made by students in Michigan Area Schools.
The showcase started on April 10 and will go on until May 15.
Ther opening reception on Wednesday will go from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
To alleviate crowding in the gallery, organizers kindly ask that families plan to arrive at the following times if possible:
4:30 p.m. - Lake Hills and Marsh
5:00 p.m. - Edgewood and Springfield
5:30 p.m. - Knapp and Pine
6:00 p.m. - Coolspring and Joy
Lubeznik Center for the Arts is located at 101 W 2nd St. in Michigan City.
