Artpost of South Bend creates display of local talent

SOUTH BEND, Ind-- The Artpost in South Bend has a special treat for locals!

Artpost will be showing work by two well-respected South Bend artists, Henderika Akkerman and Hank Mascotte.

Akkerman's abstract work combines paintings, mono-prints and collaged material to create work that is simply about joy, forms and color.

Mascotte will be exhibiting a series botanical block prints on rice paper inspired by a series of visits to Maui.

"We want to show artwork from people who are making art in our community and show the creative people that we have right here and to help them make a living, to help them be valued in their community." said Kay Westhues. 

Their exhibits will be up until the end of June.
