The sights of fall were everywhere at A-mazing Acres Thursday for the autumn attraction's opening day.
But the "feel" of fall was nowhere to be found, with temperatures near 90 degrees all across Michiana.
As Michiana's sun angle decreases with the passage of time, hitting 90 degrees gets more difficult. However, as we saw on October 1, 2019, it's still possible.
Later this opening weekend, staff at A-mazing Acres say they'll have frozen treats available and will be setting up sprinklers to deal with the above-normal temperatures.
Highs will likely remain in the middle to upper 80s this weekend and through the first half of next week. Above-normal temperatures and bone-dry conditions remain in the forecast until the end of September.
