Ash Road to be temporarily closed during the day

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Beginning Monday morning June 3, 2019 Ash road between Harrison and Inwood Road will be temporarily closed.

Crews will be cutting down trees along the edge of the roadway in preparation for paving.

The closure will only be in effect during daytime hours, but however; there will be access to local traffic at all times.

There may be short delays to remove debris or large parts of trees blocking the road.

The closure is expected to be for only 1 day, and will be removed as soon as work is complete and it is safe to travel.

A detour route will be posted and signed throughout to guide cars. The main route will use Harrison, Beech, and Inwood Road. Entrance to Heather Lakes subdivision can be obtained from Beehler or Beech Road.

It is advised to that Byrkit and Refugee be accessed from Henry Road to eliminate travel through Ash Road.

Please exercise caution and patience as you travel through this area as crews work to improve roadways within the community.
