Attacked choir director returns to church

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A choir director who was attacked during a stabbing spree in church returned to sing for Mother's Day.

Last month Adam Alvarez was attacked during services. A man rushed him and stabbed him, all while his mother watched.

Sunday, he was able to sing once again to honor his mother.

"She sent me to all the finest music academies, and got me voice lessons, she had to work 2 or 3 jobs to pay for them," said Alvarez.

His mom said his voice was the best Mother's Day gift she could have asked for.
