SOUTH BEND, Ind. --The South Bend Police Department reports officers were on scene Thursday night for what's being reported as an attempted carjacking near the campus of Indiana University South Bend.
The report states shortly after 8 p.m., Thursday, the IUSB Police Department was notified of a victim who had arrived at the hospital, stating he was wounded during an attempted carjacking near the campus.
SBPD took over the investigation after initial evidence suggested the incident may have occurred just beyond university property.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening lacerations at the hospital.
Officers continued to investigate near the pedestrian bridge on Thursday night.
IUSB then issued an all-clear to its students and staff.
