Hoosiers should see $125 Automatic Taxpayer Refund soon

Hoosiers should expect to receive their $125 Automatic Taxpayer Refund in the coming weeks, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced.

Governor Holcomb first announced the refund in December.

Hoosiers will start receiving the refund via direct deposit or by mail after the April 18 tax-filing deadline.

Refunds will be issued via direct deposit beginning in May.

Refunds will be issued through paper checks in the mail beginning in late July.

State officials hope to complete the refund by September 1.

Taxpayers do not need to take additional action to get the refund.

The refund is in addition to and separate from refunds received after filing 2021 state income tax returns.
