Autopsies conducted on Kenwood Avenue fire victims

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- The St. Joseph County Prosecutor's officer released the preliminary results of the autopsies on fire victims 43-year-old Angela Williams and 58-year-old George Bailey. They died in a fire at a house in the 2500 block of Kenwood Avenue early Saturday morning.


A forensic pathologist determined both Williams and Bailed died of smoke and soot inhalation with burns.


Whether or not the manner of death was homicide is still under investigation, according to the prosecutor's office.


The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is still investigating.
