Autopsy complete on body recovered from Trail Creek

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Indiana Conservation Officers have released the identity and cause of death of the man whose body was recovered from Trail Creek on Monday afternoon.

The man was identified as 37-year-old Tommie Allison of La Porte.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday morning and the cause of death is believed to be drowning, according to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Law Enforcement District 10.

Conservation officers believe Allison entered the water within the last week, but do not know exactly when or where.
