Back to school shoe drive, 'Kicks for Kids,' in Granger

GRANGER, Ind. -- Be Well Michiana, a local smoothie and juice bar, has partnered with the non-profit, SAFY of Mishawaka, to hold its first ever back to school shoe drive, "Kicks for Kids."

Organizers say their goal is to collect 50 or more pairs of shoes to send to local foster children as they return to school.

An Amazon wish list has been made by organizers and there will be specific "wish" request cards from local children available at Be Well Michiana at 51070 Bittersweet Rd. in Granger.

You can find the Amazon wish list here.

After you purchase the shoes, you can drop them off at Be Well by August 23. You can also have the shoes shipped directly to Be Well.

Organizers report they've collected 30 pairs of shoes as of Monday.
