In a game that featured a top-ten team and a mid-major team, there was a mismatch on paper.
But on the floor, Ball State controlled much of the action and held off a Notre Dame run, capped by a last-second basket from Tayler Persons.
The Irish fell 80-77 and dropped to 7-2 on the season, losing their second in three games.
