Banasiewicz in stable condition

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Local BMX star Brett Banasiewicz is sedated and in stable condition according to ESPN.
He crashed on Thursday and was placed in a medically induced coma while competing in Virginia.
ESPN-BMX tweeted on Sunday, "Update on Brett Banasiewicz: Brett attempted to get out of bed by kicking one of the machines at bedside and attempting to sit up!"
Banasiewicz's neurosurgeon said it's likely Brett will make a full recovery.
