Bank of America cutting 30,000 employees

U.S.-Thousands of employees with one national bank will soon begin receiving pink slips.

Bank of America announced plans Monday to lay off 30,000 employees over the next few years, nearly 10 percent of its workforce.

The bank says a majority of the job cuts will consist of vacant positions. It expects to save nearly 5 billion in costs.
