Bare Hands Brewery set to open downtown South Bend location in 2023

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Bare Hands Brewery is expected to open a location in downtown South Bend in 2023.

The City of South Bend's Redevelopment Commission approved an amendment to the business's purchase agreement for the old Gates Service Center, located on the corner of William and Wayne Streets, near Four Winds Field.

The purchase agreement states that work on the building must begin by September 1.

Bare Hands released the following statement on Facebook:

"At times we felt discouraged, but we never give up. It’s been a long rocky road with plenty of challenges, but greener pastures are in sight! Thank you to everyone who trusted us, and believed in us. We would never have been able to get through those obstacles without you.

We have huge plans for the new space, and this is just a taste of what we have been up to. With plenty of space and a new fire behind us, we plan to make this your favorite place to relax, reason, and reminisce with the amazing people that have made our lives so enjoyable. We cannot wait to sip a cold, fresh pint with you next to the ballpark DTSB when the doors open next year!"

The brewery also has a location in Granger.

According to its website, the South Bend taproom will be open to the public by September 2023.
