ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- More than a dozen fire departments arrived to the scene of a structure fire at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday on LaRue Street that took first responders almost 12 hours to put out.
Crews were able to officially to leave the scene at around 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
Officials say they believe the fire started in the front office of the building.
Although that portion of the building is a total loss, crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the building.
Police are still investigating what started this fire and expect to have more details by the end of the week.
