Be Your Own Santa event highlights small, local businesses grown through South Bend Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program

NOTRE DAME, Ind., -- Since its start in 2020, the South Bend Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program has launched nearly 100 businesses. It is for entrepreneurs from low-income or otherwise disadvantaged backgrounds.  It is unique because it offers 11 months of support to the entrepreneur including a business class, mentorship and consulting by Notre Dame students. They’re later supported with access to financing and by community events like this one.

The Be your own Santa event will be held at Ignition Park with tons of gifts, food, live music and photo opportunities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday. It features more than 40 entrepreneurs who have established businesses through the program.

Hear from SBEAP founder Michael Morris and various entrepreneurs from the program.
