Beach hazards issued for Lake and Porter counties

The National Weather Service is warning people to stay out of Lake Michigan. A beach hazards statement has been issued for dangerous swimming conditions Sunday through 8 p.m. EST.
This statement has been issued for both Lake and Porter counties.
According to the AP, waves of 3 to 5 feet, strong currents and strong structural currents are expected.
Dangerously pounding waves and life-threatening rip currents are also expected.
