WINIMAC, Ind – The Winimac community came together for a benefit dinner and auction to support a grieving Fulton County family after the October 30th accident that killed Alivia Stahl and her twin brothers Xzavier and Mason Ingle and injured Maverik Lowe.
“We wanted to help all the family out this is for all three of the families by doing something,” Winimac Fire Chief Bill Weaver said.
The incident happened when 24-year old Alyssa shepherd drove past a school bus’s extended stop arm hitting the four children.
Winimac resident says the community comes together to show their support and she wanted to do the same.
“We just wanted to show our support to the family and be a part of the community gathering and to participate in the event,” Winimac resident Ashlin Perez said.
Event organizers said there isn’t a specific fundraising goal but with over 150 attendees at the benefit dinner they aim to cover all of the family’s expenses.
