Benton Harbor Farmers Market opens Wednesday
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – The Berrien County Farmers Market opens Wednesday at the Dwight P. Mitchell City Center Park in downtown Benton Harbor.
Each Wednesday, the Farmers Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Market offers customers a variety of locally-grown produce, baked goods, and artisan crafts.
The Market will also be offering special events and programming each Wednesday, like exercise classes and story time for kids.
“The Benton Harbor Farmers Market has been an important part of our community for many years and provides a direct link between the agricultural community and people who value fresh, local produce,” said Nicki Britten, health officer for the Berrien County Health Department. “With family friendly events, new partnerships with area organizations, and even more vendors, this year’s market is going to be bigger and better than ever.”
The Market will continue to accept Bridge Cards (EBT), Senior Project FRESH, and WIC Project FRESH coupons for qualifying items. Bridge Card holders can also double their spending power with the Double Up Food Bucks program.
Cash will also be accepted.
The Market will be open every Wednesday through September 15.
