BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Harbor commissioners are ready to get their power back!
On Friday, city leaders attended a workshop to help prepare for the departure of the Emergency Manager.
Some of the topics included balancing a budget and setting goals.
Mayor-Elect James Hightower organized the workshop.
He said it's a way for everyone to get on the same page and ready for the coming year.
"I believe in thinking outside the box. Forward thinking. I'ts about relationships. If we want to get things done we want to communicate it with each other," said Hightower.
Emergency Manager Joseph Harris told us he hopes to leave his job by June.
