Benton Harbor man charged with murder

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A Benton Harbor man is locked up, accused of murder.
25-year-old Karl Cotton, Jr. was arraigned on Tuesday afternoon.
He is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Jamie Powell last March.
Police believe he drove to her Grand Rapids apartment for a drug deal.
Cotton will be back in court on May 25.
If convicted, he faces life in prison.
