Benton Harbor youth participate in Shop with a Cop

The Joique Bell Charity Inc. hosted a Shop with a Cop event along with Benton Harbor Police, St. Joseph Township Police and Michigan State Police on Tuesday.
This year, 35 kids were chosen to participate in the shopping spree at Meijer.
Shop with a Cop helps those with a financial need and children with exceptional grades.
"Did you see those children come in? And I can just imagine how excited I would have been as a child. Being on a bus, being escorted by the police, coming and going shopping. This is a day that these kids will never forget," said Althea Gaddy, Bell's mother and Vice President and Co-Executive Director of the Joique Bell Charity.
Each child received a $100 gift card to buy Christmas presents.
