BENTON HARBOR, Mich. – Benton Harbor’s Director of Public Safety Roger Lange has been placed on paid administrative leave because he has not passed two required examinations.
The city says Lange has not taken Fire I and Fire II examinations, which are required by the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The city says Lange is on paid administrative leave until he passes the two required tests.
Deputy Director of Fire Services Jeremy Connell and Deputy Director of Police Services Dan McGinnis will lead the department while Lange is on leave.
The city says it is looking forward to Lange’s return.
