BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Benton Township Police Department is investigating a shooting.

Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Blossom Lane and Concord Rd. on Sept. 11 around 7:30 p.m.

Once on the scene, officers found a 20-year-old male with a gun shot wound. The victim was taken to Corewell Health for further treatment, but did not survive.

This is an ongoing investigation.
