Berrien County deputy injured in crash on I-94

The I-94 crash that caused both eastbound lanes to be closed Wednesday afternoon involved a Berrien County Sheriff's deputy and a pickup truck.
According to the sheriff's department, the officer on duty was traveling on I-94 near M140 in Watervliet when his patrol car was rear ended by a full size pickup truck.
The officer was injured and taken to Lakeland Hospital.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken by Air Care to the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
