Berrien County Driver's Ed teacher arrested
COLOMA, Mich -- A Berrien County Driver's Education Teacher has been arrested for "Criminal Sexual Misconduct."
56-year-old Peter Fleck who was formerly employed by "Mr. G's Driving School" and was fired by the driving school after the allegations surfaced.
Multiple school district's around Berrien County including Coloma Community Schools contracts the driving school to teach their driver's education program.
Mr. G's Driving School released a statement to ABC57 News on Monday evening saying"Mr. Fleck no longer works as a driving instructor at Mr. G's driving school. Here at Mr. G's Driving School we take safety seriously and always focus on ensuring our students safety. Upon hearing serious accusations that threaten our student's safety, Mr. G's Driving School fired Mr. Fleck."
Coloma Community Schools also released a statement saying "I am aware of the allegations and arrest of Mr. Fleck who is not an employee of ours. Coloma Community Schools contracts Mr. G's Driving School to provide driver education for our students. Mr G's rents space in our building but his instructors are his employees and not employees of Coloma Community Schools."
Local Coloma resident Michelle Davis said she was disturbed by the allegations.
"I mean why prey on young children, young girls, boys you know it's disgusting," Davis said.
The charges against fleck are allegations until the criminal case is finished.
