Berrien County Sheriff’s Office seeks public help in finding disabled man

UPDATE: The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Alber has been found.

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 42-year-old disabled man out of Niles Township.

James Alber was reported missing from an area adult foster care home on August 7.

James is a 42-year-old white male with blond hair and green eyes. He is approximately 5’11”, 180 lbs. and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a t-shirt, and some form of sweater.

James suffers from a disability and is reported to possibly be unstable and in need of medical attention.

He was last seen at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana on August 9 just after 4 a.m.

If located, please contact your local law enforcement in hopes to safely return James home.
