Berrien County Sheriff's Office rallying around deputy in ICU

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - The Berrien County Sheriff's Office is rallying around one of their own who is currently in the ICU.

Deputy Mia Rankin, 24, has worked in the Berrien County Jail since 2019.

Last week, doctors found two tumors in her abdomen after she was rushed to the emergency room, Sheriff Paul Bailey said.

Since the tumors were found, Rankin has had three follow-up surgeries.

She is still in the ICU.
