Big Brothers Big Sisters are "Bowling for Kid's Sake"

ELKHART, Ind. – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart County hosted its annual "Bowl for Kids' Sake" at Signature Lanes.

More than 500 bowlers were on hand to help raise more than $50,000 dollars.

"It’s so exciting to see the outpouring of support from people who are not only volunteering their time to bowl for us, but to raise money and spread the awareness of the children who need mentors in our community," said Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Stephanie Patka.

They've got one more weekend to wrap up the fundraising, so the total numbers aren't in just yet. The bowling tournament raises funds for the agency's background checks.
