Bike the Bend to cycle through town this weekend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Here's your chance to explore the great outdoors on a pair of wheels.

Sunday is the annual Bike the Bend event.

The ride starts at St. Patrick's Park and follows the St. Joseph River through South Bend and Mishawaka to Monkey Island.

Riders can start and stop at any point along the 34-mile route.

Several streets will be closed on Sunday morning between 6:30 and 11:30 a.m.
