ABC 57’s Jess Arnold is taking a trek with a non-profit organization and 42 Vietnam veterans to Washington, D.C.
Get Wet for a Vet is busing the veterans to Washington, D.C. and a group of local bikers are escorting them the entire way.
The bikers will accompany the veterans to Arlington Nation Cemetery on Friday and to the Vietnam Memorial Wall on Saturday.
“First and foremost, it was just a good thing to do. And the vets, some of them guys, have never been to the wall, and I haven't either. To see them smile. That's my goal. It's all about them. They come first, and I get that open road experience with my brothers, it will be great. It'll be great." Greg Batalis, a biker who will lead the bus, told ABC 57.
