Bird crash lands in plane's cockpit mid-flight

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Florida pilot remained calm when a bird crashed through his windshield, into the cockpit near Page Field Airport in Fort Myers, Florida on Saturday.

Rob Weber's on-board camera caught video of a bird crashing into his cockpit in the sky over Fort Myers.

The pilot managed to keep his cool during the airborne emergency.

He suffered a minor cut on his forehead, but refused medical assistance after a calm landing.

Weber told reporters he can't wait to get his windshield fixed so he can fly again.
