MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Bethel University will celebrate the birthday of former Governor of Indiana, Dr. Otis R. Bowen, at the "Bowen Birthday Bash" on Feb. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Bowen Museum, located in the Otis and Elizabeth Bowen Library building on Bethel's campus.

"Bethel University is honored to house the artifacts of such a significant historical figure in the state of Indiana," says Abson Joseph, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs at Bethel University. "We hope the community will take the opportunity to explore the museum as we honor Dr. Bowen's birthday."

The event is free and open to the community; no RSVP is required. Attendees will be able to enjoy cake and punch, try on replicas of Doc Bowen's iconic horn-rimmed glasses, tour the museum, and enter a drawing for an Amazon gift card.
