UPDATE: As of 10:43 a.m. Friday, Harbor Master Moran states the bridge has been repaired and is operating normally.

ORIGINAL: ST. JOSEPH, Mich. -- St. Joseph Harbor Master Mike Moran reports as of Friday at 8:45 a.m., the M-63 Blossomland Bridge at mile .92 over the St. Joseph River is stuck in the down position, and currently closed.

Moran says this is due to an electrical issue stemming from Thursday night's storms.

All mariners are advised to transit the area with caution.

Vessels which can safely pass under the bridge without a lift may do so at any time, Moran said.

The estimated time to repair is unknown, but the Michigan Department of Transportation is aware working to resolve the issue.
