MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City opened its new Fanduel Sportsbook on Thursday now that sports betting is legal in Indiana.
Gamblers can place bets on all major professional sports as well as college football and basketball.
It's also designed to bring in more revenue and more people to the city.
"Ultimately it’s great news for Michigan City, because that’s a lot of new people we’re bringing into this market to see what this city is all about," said David Strow, Vice President of Corporate Communications for the Boyd Gaming Corporation.
The grand opening on Thursday featured an appearance by Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher who placed the very first bet.
